PRIME VIDEO: Jonathan Cohen is Sentinelle!
As announced on our Twitter account, we had the opportunity to preview ‘Killer Coaster’ and ‘Sentinelle’. While the review of the ‘Killer Coaster’ series is scheduled for next week, today we will be focusing on ‘Sentinelle’, the movie now available on Prime Video.
A NEW COMEDY ON PRIME VIDEO!
‘Sentinelle’, created by Hugo Benamozig and David Caviglioli, is a comedy for Amazon Prime Video. The story revolves around François Sentinelle, played by Jonathan Cohen, a policeman from La Réunion known for his vigorous methods and eccentric off-duty style. Despite his notoriety, he also pursues a career as a charming singer, with an embarrassing hit from his youth, “Le Kiki”. While he has been trying for fifteen years to release a new album without success, a series of violent crimes shakes the island. Although this would be a major case for any policeman, Sentinelle, more focused on his music, shows little interest in investigating.
A CRAZY POLICEMAN
In this movie, Jonathan Cohen plays a completely eccentric policeman! One wonders how Sentinelle could have reached such a high rank, given his flagrant incompetence. He heads up a team that is a lot like him. Solving a series of murders becomes an extremely difficult mission when the team leaves ransacked crime scenes behind and doesn’t know how to conduct an investigation properly. As the city is hit by this wave of murders, the team must face up to the task of solving the case, with the help of Morisset, a brilliant policeman who is doing his best to raise the investigation’s profile.
A COMPLETELY CAPTIVATING MOVIE!
‘Sentinelle’ managed to captivate us from start to finish! The film proved captivating and remarkably fluid. The character of Sentinel is interpreted in an incredibly convincing way, giving it a very striking touch of realism. Our viewing of the film was filled with pleasure. The story is both original and completely madcap. The film’s humorous side further highlights Sentinel’s mediocrity in his field (fields…).
The film will be available on Prime Video from September 8, 2023. It will be followed by ‘Killer Coaster’ starring Alexandra Lamy, Audrey Lamy and Chloé Jouannet, released the following week. A good September for Prime!
