Amazon Prime Video to release “Cruel Summer” this summer

The Jessica Biel-produced series is a psychological thriller set in the 1990s.The series contains 10 episodes and will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video starting tomorrow: August 6.

THE SYNOPSIS

The TV show takes place over three summers from 1993 to 1995 in a small town in Texas. It follows two young women: Kate Wallis (Olivia Holt), a popular girl with an almost perfect life who disappears one day, and Jeanette Turner (Chiara Aurelia) who goes from being the sweetest girl in town to the most popular and hated girl in town, accused of having something to do with this missing person. Each episode will be told from the perspective of one of the two heroines. The trailer is already available.

THE CASTING

In this TV show the two main actresses are played by Olivia Holt (Cloak and Dagger) and Chiara Aurelia (Tell Me Your Secrets). The rest of the cast is made up of Michael Landes, Froy Gutierrez, Harley Quinn Smith, Allius Barnes, Blake Lee, Brooklyn Sudano but also Sarah Drew (Grey’s Anatomy).

The series has already been renewed for a second season and we can’t wait for tomorrow to discover this promising scenario and this cast, no doubt that it is a perfect series for the summer!
