The Cabinet of Curiosities’: Our opinion on the new Netflix horror series!

Guillermo del Toro presents his new horror series ‘The Cabinet of Curiosities’. The series will be available tomorrow on Netflix! But we had the opportunity to preview the series. We tell you more about it:

AN ANTHOLOGY SERIE :

The Cabinet of Curiosities is an anthology series: each episode is totally different from the others. Indeed, if the stories do not have the same context, they do not have the same director. This gives us a tailor-made cast! We find, among others, Sebastian Roché, Ben Barnes, Rupert Grint or Andrew Lincoln. A cast that sells dreams. You can be sure that in terms of acting, you will not be disappointed!

The series consists of 8 episodes, the first two of which, ‘Lot 36’ and ‘Cemetery Rat’, will be broadcast tomorrow. We will take advantage of these two episodes to give you our opinion on the series.

OUR OPINION ON THE FIRST TWO EPISODES :

We must confess that we didn’t really get hooked on the first few stories. The episodes were quite empty in story and therefore not very captivating. However, it must be said that the direction is incredible! We are immersed in a rather creepy atmosphere, with sometimes frightening scenes. These mini-shorts are perfect for a Halloween party. The actors’ acting is qualitative and the special effects are well done. The macabre and dark atmosphere allows to spend a good moment in front of the series even if the episodes do not really attract the attention. Finally, we will finish with the credits: visually IN-CRO-YA-BLE! The images and the editing left us speechless. We can’t wait to watch the rest of the episodes to find out which one will suit us best.
