Peter Bundic and his role in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”

We recently had the opportunity to interview the actor Peter Bundic about his role in the Netflix series “Chilling Adventures on Sabrina”. The occasion to learn more about the show and the shooting anecdotes !

1. Were you aware of the Archie comics before being cast in the show? Did you read them?

When I was growing up I would always pick them up at the grocery store to give them a read. Whether my parents would let me get them or not I somehow managed to keep up with the Archie universe every time we went to restock the fridge. I thought it was really cool to see the Archie universe come to life in Riverdale and then was thrilled to be a part of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

2. What was your favorite episode of Sabrina?

It’s difficult to say which episode was my favorite as I enjoyed the entirety of the show. The series of Eldrich Terrors that came into play has to be my favorite sequence of events in the show as the stakes for Greendale became the most intense. There’s too many good moments to pick just one!

3. What’s your favorite memory on set?

Between shot set ups the cast and I would be in various green rooms waiting until we’re needed again. There’s been times where we are all singing, playing guitar, and making our own little private concerts with each other. I think the amount of laughter and happiness we had doing things like that definitely have to be some of my best memories on set.

4. Are you still in touch with some of the cast?

It’s been tough to see everyone when we’re shooting in different countries but definitely happy to stay in touch with everyone from the show. When we’re in town it’s always nice to catch up and go to some cool spots we’ve enjoyed while shooting in Vancouver.

5. If you could have played anyone else in the show, who would it be ?

I’ve never thought about that to be honest. I think everyone played their role so well I couldn’t picture things being any other way. If I had to choose a character to play I would have to time travel to the future and play Father Blackwood. Richard Coyle did an incredible job as Father Blackwood showed us all how much fun he had with the role.

6. What was your favorite scene to shoot ?

So much of the filming was incredibly fun to shoot. One of the cooler scenes for us to shoot must have been the Carnival scene where Billy and Carl trash the place with Harvey in an effort to save our friend. We actually got to smash everything you saw on the show with baseball bats. Everything was of course breakaway glass but that’s not something you get to do so it was fun to embrace it.

7. If you could be a part of any other TV show, which one would it be ?

I’ve loved action shows a lot since I was young and have quite a few years of martial arts/ stunts experience. It would be really cool to be a part of The Flash, Cobra Kai…  the list would just go on and on. Definitely have action and adventure shows high up on my list.

8. Who would be your dream co-star ?

This one’s a hard one because there’re so many incredibly talented actors that I’ve always wanted to work with. One thing I’ve gotten a lot is that I remind people of Joseph Gordon-Levitt so I’ve always thought it would be really cool to play his younger brother or younger version of him one day. I also think he’s an incredible actor.

9. Did you bingewatch anything recently ?

There’s tons of shows on my watch list right now. I’ve really enjoyed binging Cobra Kai as I was a huge fan of the Karate kid movies growing up. I’ve recently watched Don’t Look Up which definitely has an all-star cast and enjoyed the meanings presented in the film, especially being with your loved ones when all is said and done.

10. Do you have any upcoming projects you can talk about ?

I’ve just finished acting/casting in “Cupid”, an indie short which is a story of a group of friends spending Valentines together before things start to go horribly wrong. It’s a Valentine’s day flick, but also a thriller, about how far one will go for love. I’m really excited for this to come out, I’m very close with the people I’ve worked on this with and can’t wait to see our director Louis Wei’s ideas come to life.

11. What would be your dream role ?

I have had the pleasure of playing such various characters that it’s hard to be set on just one role, but my dream is to be able to continue to tell the stories that others cannot tell with film. I think that’s why we all do it.
