3 movies you should watch this April!

Every month from now on, Sounds Of Series shares with you its selection of movies not to be missed for the month to come. Between the releases in theaters and on the different platforms, it is sometimes complicated to find your way, but don’t panic, we are here to help you!

1. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

In April, the role-playing game reference comes to the big screen! In this adventure inspired by the Dungeons and Dragons universe, a handsome thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to recover a lost relic. But things go awry when they attract the wrath of the wrong people…

Starring Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Don’t Worry Darling), Regé-Jean Page (The Brigerton Chronicles), Michelle Rodriguez (Fast and Furious), and Sophia Lillis (It, I Am Not Okay with This)… with others who will evolve in the rich and playful universe of the legendary role-playing game through a hilarious and action-packed adventure. Coming to theaters April 12.

2. Peter Pan & Wendy 

Who doesn’t know this classic story written by J. M. Barrie? Already adapted many times to the cinema, Disney delivers a new live action Peter Pan, inspired by its cartoon released in 1953. Peter Pan & Wendy tells the story of a young girl who opposes the will of her parents to send her to boarding school, and flies with her two younger brothers to Neverland. There she meets a boy who refuses to grow up, a tiny fairy, and an evil pirate. She experiences adventures as exciting as they are perilous, far from her family and home.

This more modern live-action version of Neverland will be released on April 28, and can be seen directly on Disney+.

3. The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Red cap and plumber’s overalls, one of the most iconic video game heroes hits theaters on April 5. In this movie adaptation, a plumber named Mario finds himself propelled into a wonderful world where he must change into a hero to find his lost brother and rescue a captured princess. He must also protect the Mushroom Kingdom from the terrifying Bowser…

For this film, Chris Pratt and Anya Taylor-Joy lend their voices to the characters of Mario and Peach. Super Mario Bros, The Movie is the biggest partnership between the Japanese company Nintendo and the American studios Universal.

La French Touch’ : The Three Musketeers – D’Artagnan

Many French novels made their way to the cinema. The Three Musketeers is the most famous of Alexandre Dumas’ novels, and its new adaptation will hit theaters on April 5. “From the Louvre to Buckingham Palace, from the underbelly of Paris to the siege of La Rochelle, in a Kingdom divided by the Wars of Religion and threatened with invasion by England, a handful of men and women will cross their swords and bind their fate to that of France.”

François Civil, Vincent Cassel, Romain Duris, Pio Marmaï, Eva Green and Louis Garrel will give life to the characters, for a French-style musketeer adventure.
