Fresh, the new crazy movie on Disney +

The platform went hard for its “Stars” category by adding the Hulu movie, which brings two of the current top actors to the screen. So what is it ? If you’re looking for pure fun and enjoyment, you’ve come to the right place.

Director Mimi Cave makes her debut with this comic thriller, and she successfully made an impression. Besides the incredible on-screen duo Sebastian Stan (Falcon & The Winter Soldier, Pam&Tommy…) and Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), the script tackles a weird, creepy subject with a touch of humor and reality that would almost send shivers down our spines.

The plot is simple, but it works really well.

Noa (Daisy Edgar-Jones), used to bad dates via dating apps, can’t take it anymore until she meets Steve (Sebastian Stan) in the vegetable section of the supermarket. The young man looks like the perfect boyfriend, and she falls head over heels in his arms… Who wouldn’t? Problem: our dear Steve has dubious tendencies for meat, non-animal, in other words, a small penchant for cannibalism. We told you, it’s confusing, but the film deals with it in a delirious way.

Without spoilers, it is from there that Noa wonders how she could be so naive. Now, we leave you with the surprise of discovering some totally badass female figures who (like many women in 2022), can’t stand men anymore.
