Every month from now on, Sounds Of Series shares with you its selection of new series not to be missed for the month to come. Between the releases on all the different platforms it’s sometimes complicated to find your way, but don’t panic, we are here to help you!

1. Extrapolations

Extrapolations is an 8-episode science fiction drama series. Scheduled for release on March 17 on Apple TV+, it takes the form of an anthology series, where each episode has its own story but all are intertwined around the same theme: climate changes. Extrapolations shows how climate change is becoming embedded in our daily lives in the near future, as well as its repercussions. The eight stories explore the radical choices that must be made when the planet is changing faster than its population. In each of these different stories, the universal struggle for survival is expressed.

The series is highly anticipated for its five-star cast: Meryl Streep, Kit Harrington, Gemma Chan, Sienna Miller, Tobey Maguire, Marion Cotillard, Daveed Diggs, David Schwimmer… A nice panel of celebrities will pass the baton during the 8 episodes. The first three episodes will be available on March 17 and the last five will be released every Friday.

2. Daisy Jones and The Six

Created by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, Daisy Jones and The Six is an adaptation of the bestselling book of the same name written by Taylor Jenkins Reid published in 2019. Available March 3 on Prime Video, the series revisits why a fictional rock band broke up 20 years later. Presented in a documentary style, sometimes with face-to-face interviews with the band members, the series looks back at the band’s inception, from their rise in the Los Angeles music scene to becoming one of the world’s most legendary bands, and explores the reason for their breakup at the height of their success, set against a backdrop of 1970s ambiance.

Strongly expected by the fans, the 3 episodes already released seem to have conquered them. In the cast, we find the granddaughter of Elvis Presley Danielle Riley Keough in the role of Daisy Jones (The Girlfriend Experience, Under the silver lake) and Sam Claflin (Hunger Games, Before you) in the role of Billy Dune, who form the main duo.

3. The Swarm

A few days after Daisy Jones and The Six, Prime Video will release a new must-see series: The Swarm. Scheduled for release on March 17, this psychological drama with a thriller feel will tell the story of Dre, a fan obsessed with a fictional pop star inspired by Beyoncé. This new horrific series is inspired by the behavior of some fans, sometimes capable of being very aggressive, especially on social networks.

Bordering on horror, the 7-episode American series announces a beautiful aesthetic, sometimes slightly gory and full of glitter. The future interpreter of The Little Mermaid, Chloe Bailey will play a character in the series. Surprisingly, the daughter of the former president of the United States, Malia Obama, is writing the show.
